The Third Stage of the Transition Process includes a battery of computer-based assessment and training tools that are designed to help the individual in the job selection process. In addition, the individual will find out if he/she is truly qualified to move right into the position and contribute immediately. The stage provides the following Job Selection assessments and training tools:
- Identifies the individual's abilities, interests and work values and matches them to O*NET jobs
- Learn job search techniques and methods
- Identify what skills are needed (gap analysis) when the individual is matched to a local job
- Determine if the individual has the job specific skills necessary to function in the job
